Identity Music Festival

The following is a 25" x 36" poster created for Anther Kiley's Poster Design Class. The poster promotes a hypothetical MIT Museum exhibition on the science of finger prints, known as dermatoglyphics. All of the imagery comes from a photographed fingerprint on acetate.

Sticky Situation

The following is a 25" x 36" poster created for Hammett Nurosi’s Making Meaning Class. After visiting Singapore, I was interested in their odd law that restricted the use, distribution, and trade of chewing gum. Public city workers in the 1980s had great trouble cleaning the city streets and other public areas because of littered chewing gum. After the billion dollar metro system was ruined by gum getting stuck in the automatic door sensors, the official ban was implemented in 1992.

The following is a 25" x 36" poster created for Anther Kiley's Poster Design Class. The poster had to advertise the work from the poster design course that would be showcased at the end of the semester in the graphic design gallery at RISD, while also being a poster about posters.

How do you make a poster about a poster? After being inspired by Susan Sontag's article "Posters: Advertisement, Art, Political Artifact, Commodity" I wanted to build off the concept that a poster is a result of everything going on in a particular moment. I decided to take all different elements of how posters are created, whether it be from a camera itself, inspiration from old poster designers, to current trends, and wove them all into a new poster. To show current trends and advertise the gallery, I used two of my classmates' posters that were created during the poster design class.

White the Cookbook

The following is a fully functional cookbook based off of the color white for Franz Werner’s Typography 2 class. It contains 17 recipes including appetizers, meals, sides, desserts, and drinks. How appetizing is food without hints of color?

3 Trips Infographic

The following is an infographic showing 3 trips for RISD’s Mapping Information class taught by Doug Scott. The 3 trips all start from my apartment in Providence, Rhode Island. The first trip shows how I get to class everyday to the RISD Design Center, the second is the trip I take to my parents' house in Randolph, NJ, and the third is an international trip to Belize.
